Excited to present Mal Thomas with his Diploma in Team Leading Certificate today. Great work by Mal for this over the last year he's worked really hard to achieve this.

Training is an important part of our culture here at Monty's, with all staff getting training of some kind. Certificate being presented by Pam Honeyman owner of Monty's and Janice Howells from  Myrick training.

Two Awards for Monty's at the 2018 Great Welsh Beer and Cider Festival

Really chuffed with two awards again this year. Our ever faithful signature brew Sunshine was runner up in Bitter category and Mischief runner up in Strong Bitter category. More space required on the wall at our Visitor Centre. It's been a great week we are Finalistsin Made in Wales competition too.

Masquerade now in Finlands largest retailer

Monty’s Brewery, the Mid Wales based brewery is pleased to announce it has secured a deal to supply Finland’s leading grocery retailer – S Group  –  with it’s Gluten Free golden ale Monty’s Masquerade. The 4.6% gluten free beer will be placed in  S group’s Prisma hypermarkets throughout Finland.

Commercial Director for Monty’s Brewery Russ Honeyman commented “We are extremely pleased with this export order to supply S Group. The initial contact was made back in 2015 after a Welsh Government sponsored trade mission to Finland and Sweden. We were introduced to importers and buyers, and from that were contacted by a Finnish importer, over the course of the last year and after a few small orders and samples which we presented to S Group we are now listed in their Prisma Hypermarkets which is a great outcome”.

Antti Oksa, the Vice President of S Group Retail Business said “We are excited to have this greatWelsh Brewery supplying our 66 Prisma stores in Finland, and to have this quality beer in our beer assortment. We are looking forward to introducing it to the Finnish customers”.

Eastbound wins at SPBW Woodfest 2017

Our beer Eastbound won best IPA at the first ever Society for the Preservation of Beers from the Wood festival held at Horse & Jockey pub in Castleford, W Yorkshire. The beer was served from a Brazilian wooden cask. It gave a great vanilla touch to the beer. Head judge was the famed beer writer Roger Protz.

Monty's Desert Rats Launch

We had the pleasure of Henry Montgomery, grandson of the famous General Montgomery pull the first pints of oour popular summer beer Desert Rats on June 8th. Monty's donates 5p per pint to the forces charity SSAFA to help servicemen and women. Monty's also produced 1000 bottles this year too.
